WRITING Quarter 1 Delving into Narrative Writing Quarter 2 Informational Writing Research Writing Quarter 3 Expressing Opinions Quarter 4 Using Your Opinions to Persuade Others Revisiting Writing Genres What can you do at home?Read with your student at home. Make sure to have your students read both fiction and non-fiction texts. You may also ask students to write a response to their reading. These questions should be both literal and deep thinking questions. Meaning you can ask about specific details from the text or you can ask your child to analyze the the author's meaning and choices and share their opinion about them using information from the book.
